'20s
From the ‘20s till today. On those six clay courts. From the very beginning the club became the reference for tennis in Venice, being recognized in Italy and abroad. The Belle Epoque “Haute Société” was fascinated by the wonderful facilities priorly requested by the Earl Volpi of Misurata.
'30s
‘30s are here and the Myth becomes. For years the greatest players of the world would have reached the Lido to conquer the much coveted Trophy Tarhe Volpo. Pietrangeli, Sirola, Merlo, Emerson: are only few of the big names that left an indelible mark on the history of the Club and of the Venetian Tennis.
'40s and '50s
In 1947 after more than 20 years of history, TC Venezia becomes an association as today still is. The club opened his gates to more people, promoting the sport even better within the territory, fitting the needs of those times perfectly. A mission we have kept and today we feel even stronger.
'60s and '70s
The Club stays in the heart of our guests. Whenever if they are top players or amateurs our courts are the scene of many amazing events. Some examples: the clinics held by the greatest Italian player Nicola Pietrangeli or the Celebrity tournament held during the infamous and close Mostra del Cinema.
'80s and '90s
People love Tennis more and more and the International dimension strengthens. Besides many events the history of Coppa Valerio begins. A true Junior Davis Cup: the future generations of pros played on our courts, including future ATP number one such as Juan Carlos Ferrero.
