On Friday 29 September, Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October, T.C. Venezia had the pleasure of hosting a tournament of the Association of Centenary Tennis Clubs of which it is a member.
The tournament included the participation of athletes from the categories over 50 and over 60, who competed in singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
In addition to T.C. Venezia, the host, Reial Club de Tennis Barcelona 1899, Real Club de Polo de Barcelona, La Real Sociedad de Tenis de la Magdalena (from Santander), Carrickmines Croquet & Lawn Tennis Club (from Dublin) and the T.C. Padova 1912 participated.
Group A was won by the Reial Club (2 wins); second place for T.C. Venezia (1 win) and third place for RST de La Magdalena (0 wins).
In group B victory for the Polo Club (2 victories), second place for Carrickmines (1 victory) and third place for T.C. Padova (0 victories).
On Sunday 1st October tournament was won by Reial Club de Tennis Barcelona who in the final for first place defeated 4-2 the Real Club de Polo. Third place for Carrickmines, who got the better of T.C. Venezia by 4-2, the same score that earned T.C. Padova the fifth place against RST de La Magdalena.
On Saturday 30th evening, the gala dinner was held in the beautiful setting of the "Salone degli Stucchi" inside the Hotel Excelsior in Venice.
